The Daniels story began in 1996 when Daniel had a vision of building a chain of high quality fish and chips shops along the south coast of England, which combined excellent customer service with high quality products and the innovative use of retail technology.

There are now 7 high quality fish and chip shops in the chain that provide both locals and tourists with some of the best fish and chips the south coast has to offer. Each shop is equipped with an ICRTouch touch screen EPOS system that provide real time sales information via a cloud based management system - Touch Office Web.

The customer experience is very important to Daniel who invested in Kitchen Display systems to make the ordering and cooking process as efficient as possible.

Online Ordering App

Continually striving to improve customer service, Daniel has recently invested in the mobo2go online ordering system to provide customers with the best click & collect service possible. The success of Daniels mean that at peak times customers can struggle to place a telephone order due to high demand. This can be both frustrating for customers and staff who have to juggle between food preparation and order taking.

Daniel already had a website www.danielsfishandchips.co.uk so the mobo2go ordering site was built to match in with his brand and a new “ORDER NOW” menu option added to the existing site. In addition, mobo2go built a Daniels own brand iOS and Android ordering app that is available for download from iTunes and Google Play.

Customers can now browse Daniels menu at their leisure, pre order their favourite takeaway meal and securely pay online. Feedback from customer is very positive, no more engaged phone lines or difficulty explaining the order. Staff at Daniels are also very happy with the new online ordering system. The customer order details are always correct and pre paid so they can focus on order production and ensuring the product is top quality.

Daniel is very happy because the online orders are sent directly into his ICRTouch EPOS system, ensuring that there is no double entry of sales data and cutting down on admin work. Another benefit is that the orders are sent directly to the existing kitchen display system so no additional hardware was required at site.

Each customer that signs up for Daniels online ordering service is added to his customer database which is growing each week. The powerful promo voucher engine combined with the inbuilt SMS marketing module, enables Daniel to create and schedule marketing campaigns to boost sales and increase profits.
